Pursuit Disciplines

The following pursuit disciplines grant your character an edge when performing specialized tasks suited to their unique skills. Eachj entry details actions your character may take which benefit from your gambits, some of which are made safer thanks to your specialized training, and offers a selection of equipment to practice them.

When you add a pursuit discipline also add one piece of equipment listed in its desciption to your playbook. These are tools commonly used by those who follow this pursuit. INstead of a listed piece of equipment, you may suggest another item more approipraite to your character. Discuss alternatives with your dealer.

Advocacy: You are an accomplished public speaker with an extensive track record of appearances. This can include philosophical debate, legal representation, religious leadership, political representation, or any other ppracticed persuasion of an audience.

Artisan: You are a master of a particular trade or craft. This can be a physical craft, such as carpentry or metalworking. Other options can include mastery of a musical instrument, artistic medium, or vocational labor. When you acquire this discipline, discuss the details of your p0ursuit with the dealer, and note your artistic calling in your playbook.

Rounders: Some version of rounders is played in every world and alternate reality where sapient life develops. Two teams alternate turns on offense and defense, with the offense attempting to strike a pitched ball to score runs while the defense attempts to field the ball in some way to prevent those runs. While the specifics of rounders can change from culture to culture, the fundamentals of good sportsmanship, team unity, and athletic exceptionalism are always present.
